Door-to-door and curb-to-curb rides for people with disabilities and seniors, in wheelchair-accessible and ambulatory vehicles, from Greenwood and Indianapolis to every Indiana county.

What we provide

Paratransit and demand-response service.

Shared, advance-reservation transportation for riders and patients who need more than a bus stop.

ADA paratransit

Origin-to-destination service for riders whose disability keeps them from using fixed-route buses, run to the rules of the program that arranges it.

Demand-response transit

Advance-reservation, shared-ride service for the public, seniors and riders with disabilities, for counties and community transit programs.

Door-to-door or curb-to-curb

Drivers help riders from the door to the vehicle when the program calls for door-to-door assistance, or meet them at the curb.

Wheelchair-accessible vehicles

Lift- and ramp-equipped vans with tie-down securement, plus ambulatory vehicles. Caregivers and personal care attendants are welcome.

Subscription (standing) rides

Regular trips to work, school or a day program, set up once and run on the same schedule every week.

Connections to fixed-route transit

Trips to and from bus stops and transit centers, so riders can continue on the fixed-route network.

  2. Confirm

Our reservationists and dispatchers confirm the pickup window and any mobility needs.

  3. Ride

Your driver meets you at the curb or the door, secures any wheelchair, and gets you there on time.

  4. Return

Return trips and standing rides are planned ahead, so you're not left waiting to rebook.

FAQ

Paratransit questions.

What is paratransit?

Paratransit is shared, advance-reservation transportation for people who can't use fixed-route buses because of a disability, and often for seniors. Under the ADA, public transit systems provide paratransit for eligible riders; counties and community programs run similar demand-response services open to more riders.

Do I need to be ADA-eligible to ride with INcareTrans?

Not for a private ride: anyone can request one. ADA paratransit and county demand-response trips are booked through the agency or program that runs them, which sets eligibility and fares.

Where do you provide paratransit?

We're based in Greenwood, in Johnson County, and serve Indianapolis and every county in Indiana. We're licensed for NEMT in Indiana and Ohio, and trips run from Indiana into Ohio and surrounding states, including facility-paid or private-pay trips to Illinois, Kentucky and Michigan.

Can I bring a caregiver or personal care attendant?

Yes. Tell us when you book. Program-arranged rides follow that program's rules for attendants and companions.

Are you a transit agency?

No. INcareTrans is a private, veteran-owned transportation operator. Transit agencies, counties and programs can contract with us to operate paratransit and demand-response service.
